From May 26th to 31st, CEO Zhang Bo traveled to Guinea to attend the 10th-anniversary celebration of the SMB-Winning Consortium. He also visited industrial projects, as well as mine and port operations.

The main anniversary event took place at the Winning Center in Conakry – a significant moment marking ten years of bauxite production in Boké. Zhang Bo participated alongside top representatives from the other three founding companies: Winning International Group, UMS Group, and Shandong Yantai Port Group.

Zhang Bo emphasized that the three terms “honor, new beginnings, and challenge” accurately describe the consortium’s development and its outlook for the future. Ten years ago, the consortium members achieved remarkable success under difficult conditions. New challenges will emerge in the future, but with joint effort, further successes are certain. He concluded by wishing the consortium continued successful development: “May all parties involved encounter smooth paths in all their endeavors.”

During his stay, Zhang Bo also presided over a shareholders’ meeting with the consortium’s shareholders and visited the exhibition hall of Weiqiao Automotive Technology in Conakry, the consortium’s industrial project, as well as the mines, port facilities, dispatch center, and the Port of Marébayah.

Over the past ten years, Weiqiao has been involved in mining, infrastructure, knowledge transfer, and training, contributing to the formation of a comprehensive local industrial value chain. Looking ahead, the Weiqiao Group will continue to actively participate in global industrial cooperation and contribute a “Weiqiao impulse” through technological innovation and sustainable development.
