WEIQIAO Germany is climate partner of the city of Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf, 13.01.2023

WEIQIAO Germany GmbH has been a climate partner of the city of Düsseldorf since October 2022. In this way, the company intends to make its contribution to the climate neutrality of the state capital by 2035.

After the city of Düsseldorf, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) as well as the Chamber of Crafts and the District Chamber of Crafts (Kreishandwerkerschaft) founded the “Düsseldorf Climate Pact with Business”, WEIQIAO Germany is one of the first 30 climate partners of the city of Düsseldorf that joined the Düsseldorf Climate Pact as committed companies and signed the climate agreement.

Dr. Róng He, Deputy General Manager at WEIQIAO Germany GmbH: “We are pleased to have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other Düsseldorf companies on the subject of climate protection and to make a contribution to the climate goals of the city of Düsseldorf. We were already able to get involved in the start-up phase and help shape the climate protection agreement.”

At the first meeting of the cooperation network at the beginning of December last year, climate partners and initial partners of the climate pact jointly defined formats and key topics for the path to CO2 reduction. A key component of cooperation in the network is the exchange of experience on CO2 savings.

The next meeting will take place at the end of March 2023. As a partner, WEIQIAO Germany supports the initiative and looks forward to the exchange and the interest of further companies in the Düsseldorf Climate Pact. Information is available at klimapakt-duesseldorf.de.
