WQ&UCAS Research Academy
WQ&UCAS Research Academy (hereinafter referred to as “WQ&UCAS”) was founded in 2019 by the Fortune 500 company Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group in cooperation with the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Located in Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province, WQ&UCAS is a new type of research and development institution that integrates “science, education, innovation and production”. It focuses on the layout of disciplines and specialties around the leading industries, as well as on the specialties needed to meet the national strategic needs and to revitalize local industries. Based on its subsidiary research institutes, WQ&UCAS is building an integrated professional cluster of faculties and institutes, which is committed to becoming an innovation platform that brings together high-level talents from China and abroad as well as an innovation site that promotes synergistic development of industry, academia, research and application. The institute is particularly interested in talents in the fields of application of basic research on frontier aluminum-based materials, advanced manufacturing technologies of aluminum-based materials, green development and efficient utilization of aluminum resources, functional protection of aluminum alloy surfaces and surface remanufacturing technologies, as well as pattern recognition and machine perception, basic artificial intelligence, language and knowledge processing, intelligent robotics, complex system intelligence, etc. the field of intelligent technologies.
WEIQIAO Germany GmbH is the European headquarters of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group. Established in Düsseldorf in February 2020, it takes full advantage of the local policies and industrial, technological, R&D, intellectual and talent resources of Germany. WEIQIAO Germany emphasizes the internationalization and two-way cross-border orientation of the Group and provides human resources in industries like new materials, new energy, lightweight or metallurgy for the sustainable development of the Group. I. Lead Researcher (Full-time)
Your tasks
- Responsible for planning the scientific research direction and the team development strategy.
- Preside over the development of the team’s scientific research, the transformation of results and the deployment of internal scientific research resources, etc.
- Organize professional courses and conduct practical teaching training.
Your profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- More than 5 years of R&D experience in metal materials and intelligent technology related fields in research institutes or well-known enterprises.
- Professor, Associate Professor, Researcher, Associate Researcher titles from top universities and research institutes are preferred.
Ⅱ. Lead Researcher (Part-time)
Your tasks
- Responsible for the development and delivery of R&D projects and assisting in matters of industrialization and promotion of project results.
- Develop professional courses and conduct practical teaching training.
- Participate in the planning of the scientific research direction.
Your profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- More than 5 years of R&D experience in metal materials and intelligent technology related fields in research institutes or well-known enterprises.
- Professor, Associate Professor, Researcher, Associate Researcher titles from top universities and research institutes are preferred.
Ⅲ. Lead R&D Engineer
Your tasks
- Participate in the development and implementation of R&D projects, assist in the industrialization and promotion of project results.
- Participate in the development of professional courses and practical teaching training.
- Participate in the planning of the scientific research direction.
Your profile
- Ph.D. in a relevant field that has taken no longer than 5 years to complete.
- Published 3 or more EI or SCI papers as first author or corresponding author.
- Lecturer and assistant researcher titles from top universities and research institutions are preferred.
IV. R&D Engineer
Your tasks
- Participate in R&D project development and implementation.
- Participate in practical teaching training.
Your profile
- Recent Ph.D. graduates in relevant fields.
V. Postdoc
Your tasks
- Focus on scientific research and complete postdoctoral research tasks according to the plan.
- Apply for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation or other research projects according to the needs of innovative research, undertake important research projects together with the co-professors, and publish papers in important domestic and international journals.
- Undertake certain teaching and student management tasks.
Your profile
- Recent Ph.D. graduates in relevant fields.
