On 4 December, the third Weiqiao Lightweight Workshop was held in Aachen. The event was jointly organised by WEIQIAO Germany GmbH, the WEIQIAO European Technology Innovation Center, and AMAP. Representatives from the Binzhou Institute of Technology, the Weiqiao (Soochow) Lightweight Research Centre, the Weiqiao New Energy Vehicle Management Headquarters, and nearly 30 Chinese and German experts, scientists, and industry representatives in the field of lightweight construction participated in the workshop, both online and offline.
At this year’s forum, the latest research results and application cases in the field of lightweight technology were presented. Weiqiao’s latest aluminium materials were highlighted. During the promotion session, bilateral research institutes and Weiqiao industrial enterprises actively exchanged views on the automotive, materials, and related fields. The event promoted cooperation in the field of lightweight technology among partners and demonstrated that lightweight technology is the future of the aluminium industry. It also drives the Weiqiao Group’s sustainability strategy.
