WEIQIAO Germany GmbH becomes a member of AMAP

On 24.06.2021 WEIQIAO Germany GmbH was successfully admitted as a full member of AMAP. For the future, many interesting joint research projects based on interdisciplinary, pre-competitive cooperation between companies of the aluminum industry, institutes of RWTH Aachen University and end users in the relevant subject areas are expected. The topics include basic research and application-oriented R&D for the material aluminum and its alloys and implementation in innovative process technologies.

AMAP GmbH is a foundation closesly linked to RWTH Aachen University. Currently, 13 industrial companies and 6 institutes of RWTH Aachen University are represented in the AMAP Cluster. The partners involved in the AMAP Aluminum Cluster agree on a pre-competitive goal as an essential prerequisite for sustainable and successful project work. The project members from industry and university work actively, interdisciplinary and across different disciplines in Aachen.

WEIQIAO Germany GmbH is a European subsidiary of the Chinese Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group. The group includes 3 listed companies – two of which are listed in Hong Kong, 12 domestic and foreign production sites and over 100,000 employees worldwide. The complete value chains of the textile and aluminum industries are covered by the group.
